An initiative designed to encourage healthy habits among young children to reduce future risks of non-communicable diseases.
Mera Planet, Mera Ghar is a fun, action-packed program by Sesame Workshop India that engages children as active participants in environmental sustainability. Through a playful, experiential learning approach, the program helps children understand key environmental issues and adopt eco-friendly practices that they can apply in their homes, schools, and communities.
With funding from Abbott, Sesame Workshop has launched Healthy Bodies Healthy Minds, a multi-country initiative including in India. It adopts a holistic well-being and preventative approach to raise awareness on the importance of balanced nutrition, quality sleep and physical activity among children and key influencers in their life.
Through stories, play, and hands-on activities, children are discovering why taking care of the planet matters and how they can make a difference. Whether it’s saving water, sorting waste, or planting trees, every small step counts. But they’re not doing it alone! With the support of parents, teachers, and their communities, kids are leading the way toward cleaner, greener neighbourhoods one action at a time.
Schools become hubs of green action, dive into exciting workshops filled with stories, science, and simple actions they can take every day. Students lead tree planting, waste segregation, and clean-up drives in their communities.
Caregivers and teachers join the journey, making sustainability a part of everyday life at home and school.
