An initiative designed to encourage healthy habits among young children to reduce future risks of non-communicable diseases.
Research shows that children who develop social-emotional skills early on are happier, more engaged in learning, and perform better in school. They build stronger relationships, navigate challenges with confidence, and develop a positive sense of self. But children don’t learn these skills on their own. Teachers and Caregivers play a crucial role in guiding them.
This is where Sesame Workshop India’s Choti Badi Baatein initiative steps in. Designed to help both children and their caregivers, this initiative provides tools and resources that make emotional learning a natural part of everyday life.
By working directly with children to help recognize, name, and express their feelings in healthy ways. We support caregivers in creating safe, nurturing spaces where emotions are acknowledged, discussed, and understood\
rather than dismissed.
With funding from Abbott, Sesame Workshop has launched Healthy Bodies Healthy Minds, a multi-country initiative including in India. It adopts a holistic well-being and preventative approach to raise awareness on the importance of balanced nutrition, quality sleep and physical activity among children and key influencers in their life.

By encouraging responsive caregiving, where parents observe, listen, and respond sensitively, we ensure that children feel seen, valued, and emotionally secure. From playful activities that teach children how to name and understand their emotions to simple strategies that help caregivers respond with patience and support, Choti Badi Baatein turns emotional well-being into a shared journey of growth, understanding, and connection.
