An initiative designed to encourage healthy habits among young children to reduce future risks of non-communicable diseases.
By actively engaging fathers in caregiving and promoting positive father-child relationships, Sesame Workshop India’s initiatives contribute to a more equitable distribution of caregiving responsibilities within families. This not only supports children’s development but also challenges traditional gender roles and empowers both parents.
With funding from Abbott, Sesame Workshop has launched Healthy Bodies Healthy Minds, a multi-country initiative including in India. It adopts a holistic well-being and preventative approach to raise awareness on the importance of balanced nutrition, quality sleep and physical activity among children and key influencers in their life.
Launched in Lucknow, The Daddy Cool initiative aims at challenging restrictive gender norms and empowering fathers to take a more active role in child-rearing. It recognizes that when fathers dedicate more time to caregiving, it strengthens emotional bonds, enhances children’s cognitive and social skills, and improves communication abilities.
Bol Daddy Bol aims to help fathers become more actively involved in their children’s early development by providing them. Bol Daddy Bol utilizing a WhatsApp-based chatbot to provide fathers with accessible and engaging workshops. This helps break free from outdated parenting stereotypes and encourages more engaged fatherhood.
