An initiative designed to encourage healthy habits among young children to reduce future risks of non-communicable diseases.
Sesame Workshop India believes in creating joyful learning experiences that infuse heart, wonder, and joy into everything they do. This approach contributes to a positive emotional environment for children.
With funding from Abbott, Sesame Workshop has launched Healthy Bodies Healthy Minds, a multi-country initiative including in India. It adopts a holistic well-being and preventative approach to raise awareness on the importance of balanced nutrition, quality sleep and physical activity among children and key influencers in their life.
The “Learn, Play, Grow” initiative is designed for children aged 3-8 and includes emotional well-being as one of its fundamental thematic areas.
The “Chalo! Sesame Street” app nurtures social-emotional learning alongside literacy and numeracy skills, helping children think, explore, and grow in ways that are fun and engaging.

Sesame Workshop India has a specific initiative called “Choti Badi Baatein”, designed to help children develop healthy relationships, respect differences, and build social behaviors. This initiative provides tools and resources to help children recognize, name, and express their feelings in healthy ways, fostering emotional literacy and creating safe, nurturing spaces where emotions are acknowledged, discussed, and understood.
The “Bol Daddy Bol” WhatsApp chatbot focuses on engaging fathers to create stronger connections with their children. This aims to improve children’s self-esteem, better cognitive skills, and enhanced socio-emotional development by encouraging fathers to be actively involved in caregiving, which in turn strengthens emotional bonds and communication within the family.
