We invite your school to take part in the Clean Energy Hackathon 2025 in Bengaluru, an event where school teams create working models and learning materials based on green energy concepts such as solar power, wind energy, and hydropower.
This Hackathon is a group activity, where young innovators work together to build a physical model or prototype that explains a clean energy idea in a simple, practical way for young
learners.
A hackathon is a day where tinkerers come together to make something with their hands. In this Clean Energy Hackathon, tinkerers will build a working model that shows how clean energy works.
It is a group activity where tinkerers think, design, build, and then explain their model to others.
Once your school registers:
• Register a team of maximum 5 students (schools may form 1 or 2 teams).
• Each team will be given a Clean Energy topic (solar / wind / hydro / simple machines etc.).
• Teams will receive two weeks to prepare a physical model.
• In-school mentorship workshop will take
place on 15th December at the host school
On the Hackathon Day in Bengaluru, teams will come together to:
• Showcase their models
• Present to an expert jury
• See other school’s ideas
• Celebrate creativity and innovation

Growing Young Environmental Stewards Through Joyful Learning
Mera Planet, Mera Ghar (My Planet, My Home) Supported by Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India is Sesame Workshop India’s environment education program that empowers children to care, act, and innovate for the planet. Using hands-on STEM activities, stories, and play-based learning, young innovators understand that every small step, every idea, and every invention can make a difference.
Young innovators explore the environment through themes like air, water, waste, biodiversity, and energy, building curiosity and awareness.
Through age-appropriate science and easy experiments, students learn how climate change affects ecosystems and how responsible choices reduce harm.
Students apply what they learn by building prototypes, testing solutions, and sharing ideas, becoming confident, responsible problem-solvers.
Shiny trophies, certificates, fun gifts & big applause for winning teams
Host school to be announced soon
A dream team of 5 student inventors from each school
